Applies to...meaning of
(Kristofer Gafvert, October 9, 2009)Since 2 August, 2007, all new articles have a section called "Applies to". This section indicates which SQL Server version(s) was used to write the article. This does not mean that the article does not work with non-listed SQL Server versions. It just means that all information in the article has been checked to be true for the SQL Server versions that are listed.
This is a service so the content of an article is not mistakenly used and applied to wrong SQL Server version by the reader.
